Property Value

If enabled then scanner monitoring will operate in ping-pong fashion. In this mode, the monitor alternates between the commands Command and Command1 and compares the scanner's responses with GoodValue and GoodValue1 after applying the masks Mask and Mask1, respectively. If disabled then scanner monitoring will be performed with only the "ping" parameter set, i.e. Command, GoodValue and Mask.

Certain scanners (with an older scanner firmware) do not indicate any problem in case the TX channel (from card to scanner) is interrupted, but continue to send "good" responses. Consequently, the monitor will fail to raise a scanner alarm unless the ping-pong mode is enabled. It is highly advisable to enable the ping-pong mode by setting UsePingPong to true.
