These allow the SP-ICE-3 Card to interface with certain types of external equipment.

XY2-100 Adapter

• This adapter allows the SP-ICE-3 Card to control scan systems which use the XY2-100 protocol.

  For more information about the adapter hardware, please refer to 4.1 XY2-100 Adapter.

SPI-Laser Adapter

• This adapter allows the SP-ICE-3 Card to control lasers made by SPI Lasers Ltd.

IPG-compatible Adapter

• This adapter allows the SP-ICE-3 Card to control lasers made by IPG or by manufacturers of IPG-compatible lasers.

ADC Adapter SP-ICE-3

• This adapter allows the SP-ICE-3 Card to measure analogue signals via a four-channel ADC.

nLight Laser Adapter

• This adapter allows the SP-ICE-3 Card to control lasers made by nLight, Inc.

When the SP-ICE-3 Card is installed in an expansion slot inside the Host-PC's case, it can be difficult or even impossible to attach external signal cables directly to the connectors on the card.

To make access to certain interfaces more convenient, special purpose slot brackets are available.

These can be mounted next to the SP-ICE-3 Card in the Host-PC's card cage, allowing external signal cables to be attached (and detached) without having to open the Host-PC's case.

Additional SL2-100 Interface

• In order to make use of the 2nd SL2-100 interface on the SP-ICE-3 Card, a slot bracket complete with matching internal cable can be ordered.

  The cable connects to X905 on the card.

  Slot bracket SL2-100 Interface connector pin-out:
  The pin-out of the connector on the slot bracket is the same as for X904 (q.v.)

Stepper Interface

• In order to make convenient use of the stepper motor interfaces on the SP-ICE-3 Card, a slot bracket complete with matching internal cable can be ordered.

  The cable connects to either X903 or X901 on the card.
