3.2.1 Card Status LEDs

The Card Status LEDs are used to signal the general status of the SP-ICE-3 Card during normal operation.

Each of the Status LEDs is connected to a particular internal or external hardware signal, and indicates activity of that signal.

Card Status LED Locations.

S/N SP300089 onwards with red PCB.

Up to S/N SP300088 with dark green PCB.

Note

On early series cards with dark green PCBs, the legends and colours of several Status LEDs differ from those on the later series cards with red PCBs.

The actual signal indicated by the corresponding LEDs in each location is, however, unchanged.

Card Status LED Signal Assignments.

Legend	LED colour	Signal Description	Legend / Colour (where different) on early series cards up to S/N SP300088.
GATE	Red	The Laser Gate output signal.	"LM"
LM	Red	The Laser Modulation output signal.	"MA" / Yellow
MEB	Yellow	The Marking-Engine-Busy signal generated by the FPGA. Please refer to 8.4.1 The Marking-Engine-Busy Signal for full details.	"MS"
LPWR	Yellow	The "Laser Power > 0" signal.	"REX"
MS	Yellow	The Mark Start input signal.	"MIP"
MA	Yellow	The Mark Abort input signal.	"ADV" / Green
