Connecting the Adapter to the SP-ICE-3 Card

The nLight Laser Adapter is delivered with two ribbon cables, which should be used to connect the adapter to the card as follows:

Make sure that the SP-ICE-3 Card is not powered when connecting to X402, otherwise the FPGA will be damaged.

J4

X1000

In order to control laser power via the analog output of J2 you must connect J4 to X1000 Analog on the SP-ICE-3 Card.

Slot Bracket LEDs
  • D12 lights white if Laser Emission is active.

  • D13 lights green if Power is ON and there is no Laser Error.

    D13 lights red if there is a Laser Error.

Board LEDs

D1 lights green if 24V I/O power is ON.

D2 lights green if 3.3V power is ON.

D3 lights green if 12V power is ON.

D4 lights yellow if the laser status "Emission" is active.

D5 lights yellow if the laser status "Firmware Ready" is active.

D6 lights yellow if the laser status "Error" is active.

D7 lights yellow if the laser status "Ready" is active.

D8 lights yellow if the laser status "Water Flow" is active.

D9 lights yellow if the laser status "External Control Ready" is active.

D10 lights yellow if the laser status "BPP Ready" is active.

D11 lights yellow if the laser status "Sync Out" is active.
