The SP-ICE-3 Card provides a large number of GPIO signals that can be used for application-specific signalling and control tasks, especially in combination with external equipment.

The latter could be, for instance:

• simple switches and indicators;

• more complex sensors and actuators;

• or even complete SPS systems.
