6 System Components Integration

Since the SP-ICE-3 Card is nominally intended to control lasers and scanners, we will usually want to connect at least one of each to the card.

Depending on our application requirements, we may also need to connect signals for various pieces of external equipment to the card's GPIO ports.

Methods of making all of these types of connection are discussed in the following chapters.
