2.4 Interfaces

For internal Host-PC installation: PCIe-x1 Version 2.1;
An arbitrary number of cards can be installed in a single PC.

For external or stand-alone operation: Gigabit Ethernet.

For scanner and deflection units:

• RL3-100 protocol with 20 bit position resolution and up to 6 axes per connector.

• SL2-100 protocol with 20 bit position resolution and up to 2 axes per connector.

• XY2-100 protocol with 16 bit position resolution (via optional adapter).

For laser sources:

• 15-pin interface with two analog outputs.

• Additional connector with differential 0 – 10 V analog outputs.

2 x 16 bit GPIO ports, 3.3 or 5 V TTL.

• The GPIOs are fully configurable via software (including, in particular, their polarities).

2 x 24 bit 3.3 V LVCMOS IO ports, also for customized adapter boards.

1 x 16 bit input port, 5 or 24V.

2 x Quadrature Decoders with differential inputs for Marking and processing On The Fly (MOTF).

RS232 V.24 serial port, for command and control of arbitrary peripherals.

USB 2.0 port, e.g. for the connection of external memory sticks.
