7.1.3 Marking Field Size and Resolution

The physical size of the Marking Field under the scan system is in essence determined by the focal length of the lens and the maximum deflection angle of the scanners.

The SP-ICE-3 Card outputs scanner position co-ordinates within the marking field at the following resolutions:

Interface Protocol

Position Resolution

SL2-100

20 bits

XY2-100

16 bits

All X, Y, and Z ordinates fall within the range (-res/2) to (res/2)-1 inclusive, and the origin is at the middle of the Marking Field.
