7.2.4 Pseudo-CW Control of LM-Only Lasers

Some lasers that normally operate without a gate signal, relying instead solely on a pulsed modulation signal, can also be used in a pseudo-CW mode, in which the LM signal remains continuously asserted throughout each MARK vector.

The LM signal's pulse width LmWidth must be set greater than or equal to its pulse period:

LmWidth >= 1 / LmFrequency

For instance, if the LmFrequency is 100kHz, then the LmWidth should be set to at least 10µs.
