4.3.4 DIP-Switch and Jumper Configuration

The IPG-compatible Adapter hardware can be configured for any one of several similar laser types by means of jumpers W1..W6 and DIP-switch S1.

This page only applies to the current adapter hardware version R2 001 V3 or R3 001 V3.

Jumpers W1..W6

The jumpers are used to select input and output functions of the configurable pins on Connector J1.

DIP-switch S1

Various combinations of S1.1-4 are used to select:

  1. how to react to the various alarm signals;

  2. whether a custom configuration is loaded from the flash memory;

  3. the specific laser type;

  4. whether the 5V 500mA output on J1 pin 17 is enabled;

Flash Mode

Use the SPI registers to configure and store a custom configuration to flash memory. In this DIP-switch setting this stored configuration will be loaded automatically.
