4.3.4.5 Legacy DIP-Switch and Jumper Configuration (deprecated) |
The IPG-compatible Adapter hardware can be configured for any one of several similar laser types by means of jumpers W1..W6 and DIP-switch S1.
Note |
---|
This page only applies to adapter hardware version R2 001 V2 or R3 001 V0 and is otherwise deprecated. |
The jumpers are used to select input and output functions of the configurable pins on Connector J1.

W4 | 12 | Alarm4 (Input) | N.C. |
W5 | 25 | Power_Monitor (Input) | N.C. |
W6 | 13 | Reserved_Output_2 (Output) | N.C. |
Various combinations of S1.1-4 are used to select:
the specific laser type;
the polarity of the input alarm signals;
whether the 5V 500mA output on J1 pin 17 is enabled;
either of two major adapter modes:
The output Alarm signal (J3 pin 26) to the SP-ICE-3 Card will be activated whenever at least one of the input alarms is active. | |||
The output Alarm signal (J3 pin 26) to the SP-ICE-3 Card will be activated whenever any of the set of specified patterns of active alarm inputs is recognised.
